WHO IS THIS GUY?
​Originally from Rochester, NY where Ricky was heavily involved in the local Theatre scene, Ricky moved to NYC at 18 to attend the CAP21 conservatory at NYU for musical theatre.
​
After leaving school, Ricky has gone on to appear in Television and Film in recurring roles on Pose and Tales of the City as well as roles on Partner Track, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Last 5 Years, Hairspray Live! (Of which he also recorded the cast album for), and more. He also has appeared Off Broadway, in Regional Theatres, multiple readings and workshops of new works, as a featured guest in Cyndi Lauper's annual Home for the Holidays concert at the Beacon Theatre, and was an original company member of the 1st National tour of Kinky Boots and it's Off-Broadway revival. Most recently he was in the orignal company of the world premiere of BOOP! the musical at the CIBC Theater in Chicago, where he played the featured part of the Assistant Director, "Clarence", which he later made his Broadway debut with in 2025 at the Broadhurst Theatre.

Ricky has started writing and recording music under the artist name, Ricky Asch, and has released original songs including, "town of eternal snow", "He's a Ghost", and "Don't Try to Find Me", as well as covers of Dua Lipa's "These Walls" , Katy Perry's "the one that got away", Corinne Bailey Rae's "Like A Star" and P!nk's "Who Knew". His songs have been nominated for 8 Broadwayworld Awards!

Ricky briefly hosted a podcast, October State of Mind, and co-hosted a podcast, So What Are We Talking About?. He also went through the core 4 levels of Improv Comedy study at Upright Citizens Brigade, which basically means SNL should be calling any day now.

Ricky is also heavily involved with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and has personally raised over $100k through the annual event, Broadway Bares.
​
When not performing, Ricky enjoys spending time with his cat, Escape Rooms, going to the movies, and all things Spooky and Halloween-y.
